Arlington Select Board
August 10, 2026
Members Present: Matt Bykowski, Glenn Sherman, and Sebastian Massey
Members Absent: Dan Harvey, Jamie Paustian
Also Present: Katie Dixon-Town Administrator, Josh Williams
Mr. Bykowski called the meeting to order at 6:30PM
Additions to the Agenda: There were none.
Minutes of the Meeting of August 3, 2026: Mr. Bykowski made a motion to approve the minutes from the meeting of August 3, 2026, as presented. Mr. Massey seconded the motion. Motion carried, 3-0, two abstentions due to Mr. Harvey and Mr. Paustian not in attendance.
Public Comments: None
Letter to Arlington school board: Mr. Bykowski read a summary of the letter that expressed the letter’s intentions and the Board’s stance. Discussion took place between Board members. Mr. Massey made a motion to approve the signing and submittal of the letter to the Arlington School District Board, seconded by Mr. Sherman. Motion carried, 3-0, two abstentions due to Mr. Harvey and Mr. Paustian not in attendance but had signed the letter prior.
Executive Session: Mr. Sherman made a motion that premature discussion of personnel matters would cause the municipality to suffer substantial disadvantage. Mr. Massey seconded the motion. Mr. Sherman made a motion to enter into Executive Session for the discussion of personnel matters and to allow Town Administrator, Katie Dixon, to remain in the room. Mr. Massey seconded the motion. The Select Board entered Executive Session at 6:39PM. The Select Board exited Executive Session at 6:55PM. No decisions were made as a result of the Session.
All Other Business: None
Adjournment: Mr. Massey made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Sherman seconded. Motion carried, 3-0, two abstentions due to Mr. Harvey and Mr. Paustian not in attendance. Meeting adjourned at 6:55PM.
