SPECIAL ARLINGTON SELECT BOARD MEETING
ARTS AND ENRICHMENT GRANT FINAL HEARING
SEPTEMBER 15, 2021
Members Present or via Zoom : Dan Harvey, Matt Bykowski, Cynthia Browning, Todd Sherman, Glenn Sherman
Members Absent: None
Also Present or via Zoom: Nick Zaiac – Town Administrator, Bebe Bullock, Carol Farley, Mike Malda, Terrie King, Bruce King, and Don Keelan
The meeting was called to order at 7:00PM
Old Business: Final Report; Arts and Enrichment Project Grant: Ms. Bullock presented the final report of the VCDP (Arlington Commons) Planning Grant, and explained a plan for the VCDP Implementation Grant. She presented the blueprints, and summarized the facilities, which include; concert space, gym with locker rooms and a children’s area, pickleball courts in the parking lot, reuse of rectory as co-working space, a space for tourism information and art and historical exhibits.
Mr. Wilkins made a motion to approve the Arts and Enrichment Implementation Grant Application. Ms. Browning seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Bykowski read the Letter of Support for the VCDP Implementation Grant, dated September 15, 2021.
Mr. Wilkins made a motion to approve the letter of support for the VCDP Implementation Grant as presented. Ms. Browning seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Executive Session: Mr. Wilkins made a motion that premature discussion of a personnel issue would cause the municipality to suffer substantial disadvantage. Seconded by Mr. Sherman. Motion carried. Mr. Wilkins made a motion to enter into Executive Session for discussion of a personnel issue and to allow Mr. Zaiac to remain in the room. Seconded by Mr. Sherman. Motion carried. The Board entered into Executive Session at 7:48PM. The Board came out of Executive Session at 8:16PM. No decisions were made as a result of the Executive Session.
Ms. Browning made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Wilkins seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
